She didn't expect him to respond at all. She'd been a moody, cranky, overworked bitch the last time he'd known her, and she had been way too stubborn to admit it. Now, though, after some time away from it all, and some world experience, she realised that everything bad in her life wasn't Cass's fault. But that's how she'd treated him last time he saw her. Her primal hatred had bubbled to the surface. Vampires and werewolves weren't meant to be in such close quarters for so long. Now, though, she almost missed his smell.
She took back that thought as soon as he was at her front door though. She stopped herself short of gagging. Dead meat and cologne. Yuck. But it was also a familiar smell of one of her favourite people. She'd showered so she didn't stink too badly for him, seeing as he agreed to meet her at home. She stood at the door for a moment, her hair long with the weight of water. She met his eyes for less than a second before opening the door wide and stalking back into the living room, quietly inviting him to follow. She sat in her favourite spot, her feet up on the coffee table, and starred at him for an uncomfortable amount of time. When she finally looked away, it was with a lump in her throat. "I fucked everything up." She said quietly, praying her voice wouldn't wobble. "I'm sorry."
