Jumping onto the OC/persona train!
With the update to my profile pic, I wanted to flesh out this character a bit more. Here are some of the basics you should know about Flame.
(note: some of these I'm still working out, so they're a bit flexible for now lol)
I'd like to think of this character as the "silent protagonist" type, speaking through either a disembodied narrator, dialogbox, myself, etc. I did take huge inspiration from undertale's Grillby design, after all.
This isn't to say they physically can't speak... they just prefer not to.
Without having a mouth—or face at all for that matter—I think it would be fun for them to express primarily through their glasses and/or body language (examples shown above).
You cannot be burned by their fire. Even if you stuck your hand directly into the flame (uh, rude) all you'd feel is a warm, tingling sensation.
From the shoulders down is just a regular human body, nothing special.
They prefer comfy clothes, specifically sweaters, but will wear just about anything. Enjoys both feminine and masculine fashion but typically default to the more androgynous looks.
Aroace and genderless. Any pronouns are fine but they/them is usually preferred.
Unlike a real candle flame, the fire will always stay in the direction of the wick (i.e. if they're laying horizontal the fire will also burn horizontally)
