mini rant because i get annoyed yâall did NOT get queerbaited, you got exactly what was clearly served to you from the very beginning: gay will. literally thatâs it. and i donât wanna hear ANYTHING because itâs all stupid. there was never any actual hard evidence that mike liked will. and no, in an over produced netflix production made for teenagers to watch while they play block blast, fake little glimmers in the eyes do not count. itâs not queer baiting when you guys just made up that mike likes him back. and this isnât me being anti shipping things that arenât canon i love newtmas i love the maurauders but for some reason everyone(esp on tiktok) has decided that byler NEEDS to happen. it doesnât. the duffer brothers arenât your friends, they donât like you, they work for netflix and they were never ever gonna make byler happen the way some people wanted. itâs not queerbaiting if half the ship is canon and the other half is only reciprocated if you squint and turn your phone at a thirty degree angle on the coldest winter night of the decade.
that being said! iâve never actually had any byler belief until wills coming out scene. the lingering on mike was a bit much but thatâs honestly probably the only thing since season 2 thatâs made me think that mike actually likes will back. i donât know what will happen, iâm expecting some weird awkward convo regardless of whether or not mike likes him but either way it will solidify that they care about each other. but idont think theyâre gonna kiss or say i love you or anything
anyways the weird feral acting towards stuff needing to be canon needs to stop because itâs so annoying and you guys seem like youâre 12. i thought we grew out of this. you guys hiveminded into a clusterfuck of yes this is canon and it has to be canon or iâll die instead of just being normal people.
