#bye 2024

Like last year, I made a collage of my favorite fanfiction recipes created in 2024. This year I had fewer posts because so many big life events happened. I finished writing and defending my dissertation, graduated with a PhD, moved nearly 1,600 miles to a new state, and started a new tenure-track teaching job in a beautiful little town. The transition in life and kitchens made me so exhausted that I did not feel like cooking much. But reading fanfiction by the most amazing authors would move me to do something with my hands, and so the fanfiction recipes project continues.

This year I made 36 Dreamling recipes and 4 from another fandom! Thanks to all the authors for helping me keep my hobbies active and sometimes introducing me to new fandoms. Your works bring so much joy to my life and you have been such a big support that I always end up laughing throughout the day!

2024 is (finally) coming to an end, and we want to send it off right. 👏🏾 To celebrate, we pulled together “A Few of Our Favorite Things” 🎶 that brought us joy this year — and first up on our list is #WomensBasketball! 🏀

With historic moments and activism on and off the court, women took the sport to a new level this year and we loved EVERY minute of it. 🙌🏽

Well, actually. I planned a bigger artwork for this (CrossDust holding sparklers) but perhaps it's either all the fatigue suddenly kicking in or my bipolar disorder that I haven't had the energy. Maybe I'll have energy tomorrow. Who knows.

2024 would probably rank B tier on my years tier list. Just for me personally.
