Mind stuck on idea that Shadow Milk might not have even known about Salt's connection to Elder Faerie or the fact that Salt was actually behind it all
the potential for angst only grows more because what if Shadow Milk thought he was doing the other beasts a favor. What if Shadow Milk had always looked up to Salt the most back in the day and he presents the fact EF is dead to Salt all proudly not realizing the truth of the situation and how bad of a reaction that would bring.
Shadow Milk often bothers the other beasts because of this self fulfilling prophecy thing that everyone should and will hate him but the reaction he gets from Salt is actually too much for him. For the first time in years he starts to feel guilt that he cannot hide behind denial. For the first time in eons he wished he'd have looked for the truth.
