I'm sorry, but I find it really funny around the end of the Oz books, when the group has gotta deal with a villain they're like,

How do we deal with this villain?

Ozma: We find them, explain why what they are doing is hurtful to others, and how I'm their Queen and know what's best for them, then they will be sorry and all will be okay! Then I will see what else I can do to help their lives.

Dorothy: Run in, use everything we can to deal with them, use force if necessary. Put them under Ozma's rule and everything should be fine.

Nick Chopper: Oh, well, clearly they don't know how much they're hurting others. So we need to teach them to love others and we can all be friends...and we do this in a way where we make absolutely sure we hurt not even a bug along the path. *Brings an axe after saying this.*

Scarecrow: So, we have an issue, let's think of a logical way around this that's best for everyone. My great brains can of course figure this out, just give me half an hour to think of the solution.

Scraps: Kill them.

Wizard: Let's see! What's in my magic bag that can possibly help us? Afterwards I'll ask Glinda what she thinks....

Cowardly Lion: I'm terrified but I'll see if Hungry Tiger and I can go in and scare them. *Runs in without a thought.*

Button Bright: *Has been lost for the last five hours.*

Jack: Um, I'm just here to save my mom. I'll go with whatever the group decides to do.

One wholesome detail that I really like is that Ozma builds up a gang of friends in the later books, so she doesn't just have Dorothy, but Betsy, Trot and arguably Ojo and Button Bright as well. idk I just find it cute how by the end of the series she's got a whole friend group of kids.

Hmmm….nah, not really. I’m actually still a little bit new to the Oz fandom itself, so I haven’t really delved too deep into it yet. But if I had at least ONE opinion, it’s that I think that we should see more characters from the Oz books get more love, like the other kids asides from Ozma and Dorothy, like Ojo, Betsy, Trot and Button-Bright, or Miss Cuttenclip from that paper kingdom, or heck, Dorothy’s cousin Zeb.
