the dead boy detectives confession/rejection scene is what byler deserved to get (at the very least) if the duffers didn't want to make them canon so bad, but it's not good writing that gets you far, i guess
You guys don't know the amount of money I've spent with this darn sickness that is just SOOOO severe :/ But the interesting thing is? Just recently, like maybe one day or two before I got so sick, I've found a decent amount of cash money literally laying on the ground, without any chance to search for who lost it, so I took it. And now it was this amount of money that covered my meds expenses..
Just another thing that really makes me feel as though someone is watching over me..
* thought this is worth saying again , bruce wayne / the batman isn’t really a superhero - no he’s not. he’s trying so desperately to heal a city , his own trauma , and the stain that is his namesake. you cannot ever possibly compare him to c.lark k.ent , s.piderman , or any other marvel superhero that HAS an added element. he’s a man at the end of the day with real downfalls , and shortcomings. that’s what makes him endearing is that he’s DEALING with a city that will never be free of corruption. in his own way he’s relatable because we see himself in him. he fails people and the system TIME AFTER TIME.
though he has these times when he does EXACTLY what he’s meant to do. he wants and is WILLING to take a beating for the city , to go into the world SELFLESSLY to protect people who he loves. we know that he CONSTANTLY has a struggle with the duality of being bruce wayne AND the batman , it’s said within each film and comic.
his failings are evident all over gotham ( the car chase , beating the shit out of people ) , and while he won’t SINGLE-HANDEDLY control the city (he could he has enough money) he still at the end of the day believes in the goodness of people.
i know some ppl say "oh but the police in _______ surely isn't as bad as it is in america???" but like, it says something though if the protests in america that happened after george floyd was killed led to other places around the world having protests against police brutality & racism in their own countries.

This is definitely inconsequential, buuut...
For my date tomorrow...
Should I go with just a T-shirt and leave room for some mystery? Or go with a tank top to show off a little muscle? (>///<)
Thank you! It drives me crazy when I hear people hate on cats and they obviously have no idea how to interact with them. My cats are shy but once they get to know you they're so warm and cuddly. They always run to the door when I come home and they love cuddles (almost aggressively so) and I don't understand why people think cats are the worst. And yes! Multiple litter boxes if there 1+ cat. People think I'm so weird for doing that or for having separate feeding/watering stations. (1/2)
(cat anon 2/2) and the declawing thing makes me furious!!! It's so easy to trim a cat's claws or even put on nail caps so you can train them not to claw you up. That's what I did with both of my cats and it didn't take them long to learn that clawing up humans is bad. But people tell me that they don't want to trim claws or spend money on nail caps and those are the people who shouldn't have cats! If they get out of the house you've crippled them! It's horrible
*
Tbh, even in Australia, clipping claws and nail caps is still hardly used. They still learn that clawing up people is bad. And they can still learning that clawing up furniture is bad (it helps to just give them something to scratch on that’s a decent size - i.e. not a tiny scratching post that they can’t comfortably use as soon as they’re no longer 7 weeks old). While clipping and nail caps can be great in circumstances where you’re renting and can have zero damage to the stuff around you, I also know plenty of people with cats in those circumstances too who wouldn’t clip or use nail caps. But sometimes those people have very docile, non-adventurous cats, vs. those of us who have ones that are like ‘yes I will climb the fridge today thanks.’
So it’s mostly down to personal preference and also again, cultural influence! But yes, nail caps can be fantastic, and cat claws are markedly easier to clip than dog’s in many cases (though they still have a quick!) I like our cats having sharp claws mostly because they have huge cat towers I want them to be able to climb confidently. But as they’re not outside cats, they could definitely handle clipping being a long-time thing. :D
But yeah there’s def a lot of things people don’t know. Our cats are almost always at the door when we come home, and one of my cats has a recall that is better than most dogs (at about 95%) and is clicker trained. Man I love cats so much, lol.
And another anon:
That bit about being patient with cats is so true! My family adopted a kitten from a shelter that I guess had picked up a bunch of feral kittens and gotten them ready to adopt(like “feral kitten 5” or something was on the vet records) so she was a little skittish when we brought her home. Two years later, I wake up to her in the crook of my knee every morning, she sleeps on my dad’s lap whenever he’s at his computer, and she greets us with licks to the nose. <3
I’m so glad you were able to rehabilitate / look after a feral kitten! Here in Australia, because many of them are multigen ferals, some of them just can’t be rehabilitated even with years of patience. (Though I still think it’s worth the attempt). But feral litters etc. often can bounce back really well with some affection and love and patience. One of my cats wasn’t a stray, but came from a feral litter. She has some strange behaviours and will never be entirely ‘normal’ by cat behavioural standards, but she’s happy and lovely, and she responded so well to patience too.
I’m so glad your feral kitten 5 has a home!
