Wednesday marked the one year anniversary of the #Beavercreek police murdering #JohnCrawford in cold blood. #Anonymous and #CopBlock have been out in force for the past year, protesting at the Beavercreek Police Department and Walmart, in a call for justice. Now, they have jointly started up a new hashtag that really says it all: #BlueLivesMurder. The announcement was rather informal, but widely recognized as hilarious. After squashing a fairly sizable beef between Anonymous and Black Lives Matter – so that both could join forces at the John Crawford rally – it seemed a relevant and universally loved statement to add to hashtags like #BlackLivesMatter. Some Cop Block and Anonymous protesters held up signage with the hashtag on it at the Walmart in Beavercreek which was shut down for the better part of the lengthy day of action. Protesters from #OpJohnCrawford and Beavercreek Cop Block said that the hashtag is perfect for the anniversary of the murders of both John Crawford and #MikeBrown this week. One year ago, John was minding his own business, talking on his cell phone to his mother and the mother of his child, while his girlfriend shopped for items to bring to a barbecue, which they had driven up from #Cincinnati to attend. While John was on the phone, he picked up an opened BB-gun from off of the store shelves. The BB-gun was a near replica of a #BushmasterACR, and by most estimations was a pretty fun-looking toy. There’s no doubt that other people picked up the same gun, out of the opened box on the shelf, where it sat opened for days. It’s an interesting looking toy, and it’s designed to attract the consumer’s attention. John picked up the toy and went to the most secluded corner of the store to finish his conversation while checking out the plastic toy. Before he could realize what was going on, the only police officer in the history of Beavercreek to kill anyone (he actually is responsible for two shootings), began firing rounds from his assault rifle, right at Crawford. The fatal round was discharged while the plastic toy was on the floor. Allegedly, John’s last words were “it’s not real.” (at http://countercurrentnews.com/2015/08/anonymous-and-cop-block-start-hashtag-in-memory-of-john-crawford-and-mike-brown/)
