Mun Is back?
Hi everyone, I want to post an offical “I am back status” For how long? I don’t know. (until something else wild happens and it drags me away) HOwever for now you’re sassy / spoiled by horrible people / shin kicking child is back.
Where have I been? Well... Honestly I just experienced very hard burnout. For the past few years I haven’t been to happy with my writing, and decided to take a step back to figure out what was going on. Long story short, I realized that I wasn’t content with my writing as a whole, SO I started listening to writing lectures to try and build myself back up.
My new writing style isn’t 100% as I am still learning and stuff. but I do know where some of my weaknesses are. And now that I know that, I’m ready to give this another try.
(hopefully with more consistency, but we shall see)
So the last few months/years have been really stressful and exhausting. I have been battling burnout for a while now and it has really effected my health these last few months. I've not felt like myself and have practiced poor self care. I knew being a social worker, no matter the field of practice, was stressful with high burnout rates. The amount of emotional drainage that I have felt since Momma's death has only increased as time as went. Being a perfectionist and a procrastinator has only increased the physical exhaustion, which in turn harms me emotionally. I love my job, family and life, but I have allowed my poor self care to cause so much damage. Last night was a breaking point for me. I realized that I can't keep functioning like this. It's easy to talk about self care but really hard to practice it. So now I am putting self care into one of my priority brackets....and that means cutting down on the whining. Today is day 2 of self care and self love. I feel calmer and better today than yesterday. I can even hear the change in my voice. Even though I do not smile all the time, I feel happier. To all my social worker friends, please take care of yourself as I am having to learn the hard way that self care and self wellbeing is important. Love y'all and have a Blessed day! #burnout #burnoutsucks #socialworkerburnout #selfcare #selfwellbeing #gottatakecareofyourself
