Doc and I were on a walk and saw this walnut tree that had not one but two burls!
Monster
This locust tree at the entrance of Black Rock woods. It looks like it has stories to tell.

I build an electric guitar, Fender Stratocaster, out of 1200 colored pencils. Please subscribe if you'd like to see more! Song I played at the end is a small section of a version of "To God Be The Glory" that Mateus Asato plays, he calls "My Tribute". He is one of my biggest inspirations in terms of playing style.

Landscape Language Burl (n) – a knotted tree growth Burls, or burrs as they are also known, are deformed patterns in the growth of tree. They are signs of stress caused by injury, fungus, insects, or some other disturbance that disrupts the growth of the tree. Instead of even concentric circles of tree rings, the layers of growth become twisted and bulbous around the damaged area. What patterns do you see in the twisted lines of these burls?
