A delightful burger recipe featuring homemade bagels as the bun, paired with a zesty coriander-lime hummus, and your choice of burger patty. This burger is a fusion of flavors and textures that will satisfy your taste buds.
Ingredients: 4 homemade bagels, sliced in half. 1 cup coriander-lime hummus. 4 burger patties your choice of meat or plant-based. 1 cup arugula leaves. 1 tomato, sliced. 1 red onion, thinly sliced. 4 slices of Swiss cheese optional. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat. On both sides, season the burger patties with salt and pepper. For medium-rare, put the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side. You can change the cooking time to suit your tastes. If you use plant-based patties, make sure to follow the directions on the package. During the last minute of cooking, cover the grill and add a slice of Swiss cheese to each patty if you want. The cheese should melt. Toast the sliced bagels on the grill until they are just barely crispy while the burgers are cooking. On the bottom half of each bagel, spread a lot of coriander-lime hummus. Add some arugula leaves to the hummus. Add a burger patty that has been cooked and cheese that has melted on top of the arugula. Put a tomato slice and a red onion slice on top of the burger. To finish the sandwich, put the top half of the bagel on top of the burger. Feel free to eat your Homemade Bagels with Coriander-Lime Hummus Burger right away.
