Today is a fairly exciting day for me today! It’s the very last day in my second bullet journal! A year ago I never thought I would finish my first bujo, let alone my second! I’m in LOVE with this system and the community that comes with it. I’ve learned so much about how to keep my life organized, during and after college, and about myself and my needs in general. After this one year of bullet journaling, I have a few things I’d like to share! I already shared a little bit on my YouTube when I did a Q&A session for my 1 year anniversary, and I plan on doing a bujo tips for beginners kind of video eventually, but here are some of my biggest tips for moving into a new bullet journal!
MAKE A PLANNING PAGE - I’m alllll about planning pages. I did a whole video about them! And of course I made my own two pages of planning for what I wanted in my next bujo.
FIND OUT WHAT WORKED FOR YOU - I went and flipped through every page of my second bullet journal so I would know which spreads worked and which didn’t.
REMEMBER WHAT YOU WANTED TO TRY OUT - I’m mainly on Instagram and pinterest for bullet journal ideas, and with both of these social medias having a save option, it’s fun to save a bunch and then go back through and see what you might want to try next. I also do these for my months!
DON’T BE AFRAID - I was still nervous to start making marks in my new bujo, even though it was my third one. I waited WAY too long and my nervousness set me way behind. It’s now the last day of July and I was only able to get the first collection pages in the front of my bujo and up to one week and the monthly pages in August done before today. And I was RUSHING, guys. So don’t procrastinate because you’re nervous to start! It’ll make it seem like a chore rather than a hobby/craft!
I’m sure I could go on and on but make sure to check out my YouTube to see my whole New BuJo Preplanning Sesh video!
