I won!
It was so much fun chasing bugs with everyone today. Hazel found a monster dragonfly somewhere that she brought in that secured her second place. Hans’ own dragonfly wasn’t as impressive in that light. And still somehow I stood in first.
Everyone was just so happy to celebrate together after a day of running around.
Puddles even congratulated me after, telling me that I’d deserved my win.
I can’t wait for the BugOff Tournament to come again next year!
And They're letting it lose to an orchid mantis. Of Course everyone loves a bug as soon as they look like a flower, nobody has ANY appreciation for the ones with many many legs that Scuttle over your skin. Shallow pieces of filth. If you love orchids so much then grow some in your garden and stay away from Bug tournaments.
The Hercules beetle is cool I guess. The feather millipede is better.
I caught an agrias butterfly that Nat practically lost his mind over. He told me that the butterfly was such a beautiful specimen that it took first place easily. Wow!
His drooling over my first place butterfly wasn’t so comforting. I really don’t believe Nat about his interest being purely scientific. He is gonna eat that beautiful butterfly I caught.
Hazel wasn’t settling for any small fry. She had her eyes set on the big prizes: bugs big enough to make people freak out. She is sure set on going big or going home. I love that about her so much!
I've Got a Bad Feeling About This
Purrl... You're face concerns me, I really wouldn't want to win this if I were to get a stare like that at me, but...
I really couldn't help myself.
