representing the hymenopteran families: Pteromalidae, Eurytomidae, Chalcididae, Bethylidae, Dryinidae, and Braconidae
found an extremely cute wasp at work yesterday. will update once i have time to try and ID it but my suspicion is some kind of weird small cuckoo wasp EDIT definitely not a cuckoo wasp now that i've looked at the wing venation. probably some kind of extra large pteromalid. will ID properly soon
found this stunning little marsh ground beetle (Elaphrus sp.) today

sometimes you find just a truly absurd little animal and you gotta marvel at life
Pseudochalcura gibbosa (Eucharitidae)
guys look at this lisa frank ass eupelmid wasp i found
found a stunning little eupelmid wasp today at work. shitty pics taken by my phone through the microscope objective really don't do it justice since they have such a narrow field of focus at this magnification and can't pick up all the textures and colors of this tiny ass beast. hopefully I can get some better pics soon with a proper imaging system
