I've mentioned that I was waiting for 2 spongy moths (Lymantria dispar) and a Zygaena moth to pupate some time ago.
The zygaena moth caterpillar managed to escape the habitat through the air holes or something.
As for the spongy moths, I knew that they were most likely dead since it looked like they started pupating and disappeared for 1.5 months (which is way over the expected pupating time of ~10 days). A few days ago I scoured their habitat and found 2 black egg-like objects. I cracked one out of curiosity.
They turned out to be puparia of some tachinid flies, I think. So the caterpillars basically got devoured inside out.
I'll try to take care of the undamaged puparium to raise the adult fly "Rlich" to see clearly what species it is. Based on the time frames it seems that it will be overwintering though.
