about & faq
who are you?
name: bucky, james if you want to be really formal
age: is weird? i’m older than 21 (as is the body)
pronouns: he/him, it/its, ȝe/ȝim/ȝer/ȝers/ȝimself*
i’m a fictive of bucky barnes from the mcu (though with some 616 comic vibes). i'm (re-)learning russian & i like green tea. dogs are Good.
i’m always up to chat to other marvel fictives or kin, esp if you’re steve, nat, sam, etc., other buckys are ok too! absolutely not looking for any pierce/rumlow/hydra bastards though, fuck off
we also have a nat in our system, @nrxmanxva
what’s exotrauma?
here’s a post about it (tw for suicide, syscourse & abuse mentions). basically, trauma that didn’t happen to the body. in psych language, pseudomemories / nonrealisations / internal narratives.
what’s a fictive? what’s a system? what’s “kin”?
ok so. system = a group of people sharing a body. in psych lingo this is Dissociative Identity Disorder or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder Type 1, but we believe systems can exist outside of DID/OSDD. the state of being a system is often called ‘multiplicity’, & you can read more about it here.
a fictive is a person in a system who’s based off a fictional character (psych lingo = fictional introject).
otherkin is when a person believes that they are, in some non-physical way, other-than-human. relevant in this case are fictionkin, whose other-than-human identity is a fictional character. not the same as being a fictive (think of it this way - a fictive’s base identity is the character. a fictionkin has a base identity that isn’t the character (you have your identity, and another, fictional one on top of that). there’s some definitions here.

Hey Loki, have you ever stuck magnets to Bucky's arm?
When they let me have access to magnets.
~LOKI
I swear to god, this guy is a loon who needs to be locked away. Again.,

who is the biggest morning person and who is totally NOT a morning person?
Steve is the morning: brilliant, happy, always brightening people’s days. I prefer to take more of a Batman approach. I am the night.
--Bucky
I can do either. Providing Clint hasn’t kept me up with his incessant noise the night prior. That dude is definitely more of a night owl than a hawk...
-Natasha
I love mornings. I wake up really early, so it’s quiet and there’s no one to bug me.
-Bruce
Yeah, I’m going to bed around the same time Brucey’s wakin’ up, usually...
-Tony
Hey Buck what's your opinion on scary movies?
Love ‘em. But not if they have too many jump-scares. Then it’s just cheap, y’know?
--Bucky
And, unfortunately, I’m always his date to the movies... even the scary ones. (They’re not really my thing.)
-Steve

Is it weird that I have a Doritos bag with Steve on it taped to my wall?
A bit? But, to each their own!
-Steve
Don’t worry, I do too ;)
--Bucky
Ditto.
-Sam
Bucky, if you had a teen daughter and find out she has a boyfriend and didn't tell you how'd you react?
I wouldn’t be too upset. Maybe hurt that she thought she couldn’t trust me enough to tell me. As long as she was being safe and this punk wasn’t bad news like Mr. Steven Grant Rogers over here...
--Bucky
WAIT BUCKY KISSED STEVE
Yup, a normal kiss on the lips. A kiss on the cheek doesn’t bring you any luck in the New Year!
