Going full circle

Strangely enough though, although interested, I haven't visited many places that fit in the above description, and haven't read much about the above either because I don't know where to start from. I did visit Buckfastleigh though. And, as I said, if you "see" the supernatural, you can immediately sense that that "something is off" there. There are dark forces around it. The atmosphere was eerie and cold. I knew that from the very beginning. And, just a little bit of reading proved me right.

One thing that immediately drew my attention was the ruins of Holy Trinity Church. At first I thought it was just one more ruined church but something inside me was telling me to find more information about this church. Long story short, this church has been suffering from satanic rituals for many centuries, which were connected with a local squire called Richard Cabell.

"Squire Richard Cabell lived during the 1600’s and was the local squire at Buckfastleigh. He had a passion for hunting and was what in those days described as a ‘monstrously evil man’. He gained this reputation for amongst other things immorality and having sold his soul to the Devil (....)On the 5th of July 1677 he passed away and was laid to rest in ‘the sepulchre’ but that was only the beginning of the story. The night of his internment saw a phantom pack of hounds come baying across the moor to howl at his tomb".

If this wasn't enough, the graveyard was a target of body snatchers, and the church itself was also a target of satanic rituals and was burnt twice, with Satanists being responsible at least for the second fire which resulted in what we see today. Reality mixed with legends. The more I search about the past of that church, the more stories I read and listen, the more convinced I am that, even in the legends, there's a grain of truth. I would not be surprised if satanic rituals continue there today, and besides, as I said, the village itself which is nearby has also a dark past and there's an eerie atmosphere around it.

I visited the church thrice and, If I could, I would continue visiting. When we went there, we stayed for a bit and sung a couple of hymns. And someone who is also very much into stuff like those I described in the beginning, told us that we were definitely noticed by "them" when I described what happened. In retrospect, I wish I had also gone there during the night.

The first time I was there, it was like I could "see" its lost glory, "smell" the incense and "listen" the music from the organ and the congregation singing carols at Christmas, hymns at Easter, along with laughs and happy voices during weddings and baptisms, and wails during funerals.

I would lie if I said I'm not "grieving" for that church together with the fall of humanity, as it is responsible for things like this and even worse. Spiritual warfare and demons are very much a real thing. I'm not saying we should go to the other extreme, start seeing demons everywhere, spread conspiracy theories and blame everything on them. In fact, I am totally against this. But still, the church today is very much ignorant of this issue.
