There is a disconnection of real human interaction in this age of social media. Never underestimate the power of a face to face get together and a few shared glasses of wine.
Sadly in my case human interaction is very limited. I have tons of people I know and Iām always around people, but in my kind of society being genuine is not really an option. Even when you get close to people, thereās still never enough trust and you should think about every word that escapes your mouth, people do the same... it has itās moments, but it gets tedious sometimes, so being online is always my outlet, because thereās no way I can open up to people this way offline.

AU meansĀ āalternative universeā in fandom. This story is somewhat fanfiction, since I took Carrieās character from a TV show and made a lot of changes to my own canon characters. Pretty much AU is when you take existent characters and put them in another place/world/fandom. For exampleĀ āHogwartsĀ AUā,Ā āAlien AUā,Ā āHistorical AUā,Ā āWild West AUā etc.Ā

I'm with everyone else who has spoken. Hindsight is 20/20 and we're conditioned to be People Pleasers by so many factors. It's an easy habit to fall into. But now you've woken up and you're angry. It's you, though, and I've come to learn that you're great at fueling anger into bettering yourself. Do like you always do: look in the mirror, decide who you want to be now, and go get her.

I think the problem is, we as a people are constantly told we need to be in a relationship to be happy. Even if, on a personal level, that is the last thing we need. As for dating the wrong people- sometimes that turns out to be the only way to really find out what they are like.

I met with thisĀ counselor guy my new doctor talked me into seeing, cuz apparently all the stress and depression just kills my body (seeing I had 5 nervous breakdowns last year alone). Normally I donāt do that kind of stuff, but the dude seems pretty interesting, he works in a military rehabilitation program, apparently he despised the way he was treated when he came from his tour where he was injured so he came up with some kind of physical program that doesnāt involve any kind of medicine and other kind of crap that only messes with your brain. So weāll see how it works, Iāve been told to get ready to pay the trespassing tickets, so itās more of a boot-camp kind of thing, if anything it should be good for my body goals at the very least xDĀ
Anyway, we had coffee together and talked about the whole issue, which stirred up my rage the way it did, but the guy had a point. He made me do this interesting thing, asking me to tell about myself not taking the facts into consideration and then compare it to the facts, which as was expected turned out to be a two different things all together.Ā
As for the dating thing... I get why some people need it, some people want family, some people want to feel safe, have someone to rely on. Iām a different kind of person, things likeĀ ātake it easy make me wanna punch a guy in the face, I donāt like alternating my life, Iām not interested in watching movies together, when the guy gives me flowers the only thing I want to do is shove them up his ass crack. I surely donāt needĀ ālove of my lifeā holding my hand when I feel like shit, Iāll rather hold my bottle instead. Iām not planning to have a family, donāt like owning homes, living in one place etc. So nothing a guy has to offer will ever be any value to me, unless itās something business related and nothing personal. Which makes me wonder why was I doing it at the first place? Why was I thinking it was a sane idea at all? Seeing romantic relationship means sharing yourself with someone and I donāt really like to share me with anyone.Ā
So Iām kind of trying to figure out the reasons toĀ āwhyā to make sure nothing of that kind will ever happen again, since it seems the least I could do right now. I still gotta figure how do I make hundreds people who know me forget any of that ever happen, seeing it just makes me want to punch people in the face. Not to mention I gotta figure how to make people who work for me respect me, which is going to be way harder if possible at all.
It would be easier if I was twenty or even thirty, but starting from 0 at almost 40 with not a single thing worth keeping sucks balls. I donāt even have pretty much anything in my wardrobe now, seeing I gave away 90% of my stuff and 10% that left are pretty much just shoes.Ā
So that doesnāt sound like a fun journey, but I guess Iāll make it somehow, the worst ones always survive xD I surely as hell know that if I hear anotherĀ āI love youā or āI want to be with youā in my life Iām just ripping guyās balls straight out and storing them in a box for collection xD

Thatās a great compliment! <3 This story surely supposed to have the feel of criminal TV shows, we may see a bit more stuff about characters than they usually show in police shows though (cuz Iāll go mad if Iād be making 20 side characters for each part), but thereās definitely plenty of action coming up! Unlike my other stories this one will have episodes. So each chapter is related to a new case :3

Awww, thank you all so much <3 Iām so happy that you like it! Iām really enjoying writing this one! Iām on chapter 4 right now xD It feels so damn great to have a story that is not tied to the OTP or romance (though I know someone out there will probably ship it, but Iāll live with that xD).Ā
Also unlike with romantic stories I donāt have to develop things in order so I can just write parts I want to write, not bothering with filler and so on.Ā

It really does. She doesnāt really bother much with her surroundings, all she needs is place to work and sleep, she could afford a fancy apartment, since she has some side money from her gambling, but she prefers to spend it on other things.

Awwww! Thank you all guys! Iām glad you like her! I kinda like her too. I was worried she looks like Letty too much, but yeah, the faceclaim I use for her could be actually used for Letty too. I have very limited standards when it comes to female characters I like xDĀ
I dināt know what to do with her yet. Iāve been writing AU non-sims stories, like the actual proper AU when you just take the character and put them into a situation they canāt possibly be in and have fun with it. So Iāve used her in the detective AU in which Lettyās a federal agent and sheās a cop and they kinda have this friendship-hate relationship... but idk if I want to bother to make it Tumblr story, cuz I bet people gonna ship it >.>
