Drowning 'Bubsy 3D' PlayStation
Bubsy's redemption arc needs to be studied.
We got:
A rocky first game.
A slight improvement in the form of a 2nd game (I like this one).
A Jaguar game nobody remembers.
And an awful 3D game.
BUT THENβ¦
We got:
A decent 2D platformer (it's good, but too short).
An autorunner (with questionable lore details that were thankfully retconned).
A better version of the awful 3D game from before (I actually, unironically had a lot of fun playing this one).
And then finally it all culminated into Bubsy 4D, which got the entire internet to agree that Bubsy is cool now. This game is everything the series has been building towards, and is actually really fun to play.
Bubsy is more than just a video game mascot. He is a symbol for never giving up. And that genuinely means something to me.
If this guy can bounce back from his lowest points numerous times, then you can too.
