If you try just 1 of @nannybills Christmas balls I guarantee you’ll want to stuff more of them in your face, and you’ll refuse to share them with anyone. On the left we have Ham Hock Croquettes, and hanging slightly lower to the right are Bubble & Squeak Croquettes. I’ve never had bubble and squeak before, it’s one of those things that don’t sound appealing as a kid, but my god my opinion has changed. Plus you get a side of brown sauce, another thing that I’d always associate with that older male figure in your upbringing, but you get to a certain age and you just get it. Brown sauce just makes sense when you’re in your 30s. But let’s talk about the ham hock Croquettes, BLOODY HELL. I dont know what was better, biting into one for the first time, or dipping it in that beautiful cider & English mustard gravy. I need that recipe.
