Ugh, stop aging
I brought Bubbers carry crate inside today. I’ve left it in thr trunk because I couldn’t deal with it. And today I still couldn’t deal with it. I cried for over an hour. But it’s okay. Sometimes grief is like that.
i just have to keep reminding myself that it’s okay.
I think my other two kitties are in mourning.
Rosa usually is very quiet, never really mews or makes too much noise but now will cry out so loudly that she wakes the house up at 2am. One of us will always go to comfort her until she falls asleep. And that’s the other thing, she’s usually a light sleeper, would wake up at the most subtle of sounds, but now it takes movement to wake her a lot of the time.
Kiara usually mews at doors when she knows one of us is behind it, but now mews when all the humans are with her. She sniffs his things and will go searching. She lays in his spots more and more.
He was such a massive part of their lives, of all of our lives, and I’m not sure how to help them aside from just being present.
But it makes my heart break all over again.
