I'm kind of shocked that (as far as I know), no one has gifed Xander in season four of Buffy saying to her: "I've gone through some fairly dark times in my life. When it was dark, and I'm all alone, and I'm scared or freaked out, whatever. I always think: 'What would Buffy do?'" with that episode of Supernatural and the Ghost Facers: "WWBD: What Would Buffy do?"

I still think Ben was a liiiiiittle old to play high school. But he is Evan. Evan is Ben. (Ben is Glory)
This moment is so beautiful. I'm just excited that my new project is even remotely related to making people feel included and like they belong. Decent life's mission I think.
Also thinking that writing "these songs saved my life" essays would be a pretty cool blog project... That idea keeps coming back to me. hmm

This YA book published in 2017 had one of its teen characters make a Buffy reference. 14 years after the series finale. :)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how well choreographed Sara’s fight scenes are and how well Caity Lotz executes them? Like having a bad ass rough and tumble female character only goes so far if the girl hasn’t been taught how to properly punch. Or anyone for that matter, but I recognize it more commonly in women’s fighting scenes maybe because I’m a woman and I love putting myself in the shoes of women being bad asses. But in a lot of fighting scenes where a woman throws a punch, and it’s supposed to be a really good landing punch, it doesn’t look believable. And that was a problem that I had a lot of the time with BTVS. Where like a lot of the punches didn’t look very authentic, especially on Buffy’s end, and she was supposed to be like this kick ass girl. And not to shit on SMG, because she did great as Buffy and I know that a lot of her other forms were pretty on point. But like, Caity’s form is so fucking good, you guys. And I just really like the attention to detail with making sure her form is good. I dunno, maybe it’s just me but fight scenes and form are really important to me in terms of getting into the story. Because like she makes you believe that she’s a master assassin, and it’s magnificent. But I mean Caity is also a martial artist and a dancer, so she basically just got the perfect role.
Every time my brother and I are watching a horror movie, a science fiction movie, or a TV show that involves fantasy, sci-fi, and/or horror, I always say, “You know what this show needs? The Slayer.”
My brother would look at me and scoff. “No,” he would say. “What they need is Sam and Dean.”
“Why not both?” I replied. “If they have Buffy, Sam, and Dean, then the [insert monster/demon/ghost/villain] gets killed and the world is saved. Problem solved.”
