Y’all, I’ve been spending time on the bird app to get more up to date content on the boys during their concerts.
Bitches be crazy.
I honestly couldn’t even make up the craziness I’ve seen on there. The amount of delusion, obsession, panic and anger all hidden behind this “I have decided it’s my life’s work to protect these boys at all costs and to do any less makes me a fake fan and a wannabe Army” is honestly scary.
Tweets like “you all sat and watched Jimin cry his eyes out and could care less. You all can fucking leave, you don’t deserve him”. Who is ‘you all’? Why do I need to leave?
And “report this acct, they are criticizing V...”. Wait. Since when is anyone criticizing (not harassing, totally different) on their own account suddenly ‘reportable’? Now do I personally think any of the boys deserve criticism? Nah. But that’s my opinion. Everyone gets to have one.
My personal favorite, “I’m seriously sad. I miss BTS. Heart broken.” Uhhh...time to step away from your screen and into real life. With humans you can interact with. This sounds insensitive but it has become so noticeable how emotionally impacted some fans are and I’m guessing they are on the younger age spectrum. I love these boys with my whole heart but I also know they are not now nor will they ever be a part of my ‘real’ life, so to speak, just like I’m not a part of theirs. And they are certainly NOT in charge of my happiness. No one deserves that kind of responsibility or burden, especially those boys. I sincerely worry that these younger, impressionable fans are failing to see that.
