i remember reading a text post that was something about brandon being forced to chaperone a jude and connor date and he ends up hanging out with wyatt and having a good time and I can’t find it but I wrote something loosely based on that and if you know that post so I can give credit that would be cool.Â
(also I hope they don’t mind I wrote a thing)
Brandon was against taking Jude and Connor to the movies. He didn’t want to chaperone them on their date as much as they didn’t want him to. But they did need a ride and Stef and Lena didn’t want them going alone. The struggles of middle school dating.Â
“Can’t you just like, wait in lobby or something?” Jude asked.
They had just pulled up to the theater.
“Trust me, I don’t plan on crashing. You two just do whatever you want.”
Brandon let the two get out before going to park the car. He didn’t have to stay at the movie theater. As long as he was back in time to pick the boys up, then it didn’t matter where he was. It wasn’t like anyone would know. But Brandon decided against driving somewhere else and figured that he would hang out in the arcade room and try to have some fun. Before he got to the arcade, Brandon stopped by the concessions to grab himself a coke. That’s when he spotted Wyatt.
Wyatt seemed to notice Brandon at the same time and smiled at him. After getting his coke, Brandon walked over to the table that Wyatt was at and stood there.
“Hey, Wyatt. What brings you here?” Brandon asked.
“I was just checking out that new action movie. Total let down.”
“Should have told Jude that before he just spent his allowance to see it.”
Brandon pulled out the chair across form Wyatt and decided he would make himself comfortable.
“He’s watching it alone?”
“No. Actually, he’s here with his friend Connor. They’re kind of on a date.”
It was weird for Brandon to say. Here his little brother was on a date and he was talking to Wyatt of all people. Not that Wyatt was bad to talk to. The two just weren’t really close friends. Were they even friends?
“And you’re stuck chaperoning them?”
Brandon shrugged.
“It’s not the end of the world. I was planning on hanging out in the arcade while I wait for their movie to finish.”
“Well I can crush you in some air hockey if you want.”
Wyatt gave a smirk and Brandon laughed.
“That sounds good. But um, I think you’re a bit confused on who is going to end up crushing who.”
Wyatt and Brandon got up from the table and headed to the arcade where the air hockey table was waiting to be played. Wyatt offered to pay for the first game, knowing that Brandon would want a rematch after he won.
“After I win,” Brandon spoke, “I’ll be happy to pay for the rematch that you’ll want.”
He looked over at Wyatt with a sort of devious smile.
“We have to make this interesting though. Let’s say the loser has to fulfill one wish of the winner?”
They shook on it and the game commenced. Brandon started off in the lead which led him to be cocky and inevitably lose the game.
“Told you I was gonna win, dude.”
Brandon refused to admit defeat, however. He challenged Wyatt to a rematch and he was determined to win. There wasn’t anything special that he wanted from Wyatt. He just didn’t want to lose. Not after being so sure he was going to win. But once again Brandon lost.
They would have spent their whole time playing air hockey if there weren’t others wanting to play. Brandon and Wyatt did continue to play in the arcade. They moved from ski ball to the basketball game among others. They were having such a blast that time got away from them. Next thing they knew, Jude and Connor were coming in to find Brandon.
“You guys go head outside, I just have to finish this up, okay?” Brandon told them.
Jude eyed Brandon and Wyatt before Connor grabbed his arm and pulled him away. Brandon turned to Wyatt.
“So you never told me what you’re wish is.”
“I wish for this, again. You and me in this arcade.”
It seemed like a weird thing for Wyatt to wish for but Brandon agreed. Next week, they would meet up here again in the arcade. Brandon gave an awkward wave goodbye, feeling a bit confused at how the night had turned out. He met up with Jude and Connor who were in a fully conflicted discussion about the movie. After dropping of Connor at his house, Brandon and Jude headed home.
“So you had a good time? You know, on your date?” Brandon asked.
“I did,” Jude replied before cheekily adding, “and it seems like you had a great time on yours.”

Jude and Connor want to go on a date to the movies so Stef and Lena ask Brandon to take them. Brandon reluctantly agrees but ends up being happy he went because he runs into Wyatt outside the theater and they end up spending the whole movie talking in the lobby. :-)
