skskkd but IMAGINE if Thor is just. A real Bitch to Jane every time she tries to flirt with Valkyrie, y'know? Just a real asshole. Flexes-his-muscles-and-weaponry-at-you kinda jerk. An honest to god annoyance.
So naturally, Jane just assumes it's because Thor has feelings for Valkyrie too and is actively trying to intimidate the competition. Especially since the competition happens to be his ex. I mean, the intimidation doesn't work obviously, but it's a little exasperating.
So she brings her A-game one day, decides to put an end to the weird love triangle thing he's attempting and looks Thor in the eye before turning and asking Valkyrie out on a date. Also takes a moment to relish his look of mild panic, resignation, and something else that looks almost like,,,, approval????
It's very confusing.
And it gets worse.
They come back from their date to find Thor and Bruce making out against the kitchen counter.
"WHAT THE FUCK" is her first reaction, as expected.
Thor stops, a tiny bit annoyed at the interruption, until he sees who it is and positively BEAMS when he says "oh hey I see you're back, how was your date :D?"
And Jane just LOSES IT like "YOU'RE DATING HIM? YOU'RE DATING BRUCE? WHAT-"
Bruce looks at her, then at Thor, then back at her and says "....it would appear so, yes"
See Jane is an astrophysicist with a PhD and all but this is too fucking messed up for even her to understand.
"I THOUGHT THOR WAS INTO HER-"
Everyone just. Collectively loses their shit, like it's the funniest thing they've ever heard.
"Literally what gave you that idea" Thor says through tears
"OH??? WHAT GAVE ME THAT IDEA? WHAT GAVE ME THAT IDEA? HOW ABOUT- ALL THE WEIRD STARING- AND THE VAGUELY THREATENING TEXTS- AND TH- JUST- WHAT THE FUCK"
"why would you think-"
"WHY WERE YOU TRYING TO INTIMIDATE ME, THEN, IF YOU- IF BRUCE- someone PLEASE EXPLAIN-"
And then it all finally clicks into place for Valkyrie, who sort of laughs awkwardly and goes "oh, yeah, sorry about that, he gets a little overprotective sometimes"
Thor nods in the background.
"but he's cool with you now, right Thor?"
Jane slowly looks over at Thor, who gives them both his brightest, most enthusiastic thumbs up/smile combo from behind Bruce's neck

Thor love and thunder looks like another masterpiece from Taika Waititi and is going to be amazing. the only thing that could possibly make it better is
This trickster making an appearance (even if just in the end credits)
