So in an alternate retelling of ‘Caped Crusader’ where Bruce and Barbara don’t know each other (yet), Bruce, on the trail of a criminal genius, travels incognito to the Mediterranean sipping a martini at a bar over the shore. Halfway through scouting the view with binoculars in search of something suspicious, his little reconnaissance gets a little sidetracked by what he next sees.
Through his binoculars, he watches Barbara Gordon come shooting out of the water gasping for air. She stands catching her breath from what must have been a hard but refreshing swim and wades closer to the shore, Bruce watching her the whole time. As she sashays over to the bar, Bruce takes in the white bikini Barbara’s wearing with a belt holding a sheathed combat knife (like in James Bond) before she starts towelling herself off. (Either this is in the 60s, or in this verse, bikinis have been made in the 40s)
Next thing Babs and Bruce start casually greeting then slowly chatting each other up, Babs subtly flaunting her bikini-clad body that’s trailing with drops of seawater to Bruce as if curious about his reaction. It gets to a point where Bruce orders a drink for Babs as well and they start to make more small talk, unable to resist some teasing, then drink in one another with their eyes.
What do you imagine they might be saying to one another?
i think the first thing she would ask this man is if he'd never seen a woman before in his life 😂
