.. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. .. Revelation 22:7 .. . Quickly = Tachu (Greek Word) . It has three meanings. Speedily Soon Suddenly . So we can read it thus: . Behold, I come speedily . Behold, I come soon . Behold, I come suddenly ° Speedily suggests that before the return of Christ, things will progressively move faster and faster. What used to take one year, will take a few months. What used to take months, will take days, and so on. Time will move faster. Procceses will be quicker. ° Soon means we are not given the exact time of arrival. It invokes preparedness. Soon can be a long time, but that time goes by very fast. ° Suddenly is exactly that: suddenly! Almost unexpectedly, but not quite. God is a God of signs and signals, so it is impossible not to know when he is about to arrive, because all the signs will point to it. Only those who do not know Him, will find his arrival sudden! . .. . KEEP = Tereo (Greek Word) . The way to wait for him, or to be prepared for His return, is by keeping the words of His Book. . One of the meanings of KEEP is to keep your eye upon! That simply means: Read Your Bible. . Another meaning of KEEP is to note. That means: Write down verses and notes. . Another meaning of KEEP is to hold, and not let go. . (All these are from STRONG'S Dictionary) .. . .. What are you keeping? 👇 His Words, His Truths, His Thoughts, His Counsel. .. All these are written in His Book. .. When He says "Book", He is not just referring to the Book of Revelation, but to the whole Bible! .. He signed His Book in the last Chapter of the last Book (Revelation 22 vs. 16) "I Jesus" . He literally has given us a signed copy of His Book. . .. . God will console you to strength. .. Through fiery trials and through trouble. .. . Parakaleo . Here's my two cents: Para = on the side Kaleo = call . So, put together, parakaleo is to call to one's side. OR. to receive the call at your side. . 🤔 . Who is doing the calling? . 1. You. You call Jesus. Call the Holy Spirit to your side, when you are going through the tough place! . 2. He. He calls you when you're in the fire. He speaks a strong word at your side in the storm. A reassuring word. .. The Wrath of the Lamb! .. It get's real scary in the Book of Revelation! .. THIS IS THE LAST BOOK of the Bible. .. And Chapter 22 is the LAST CHAPTER of the Bible. .. There is a heart-chilling announcement, in the 11th verse. .. Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still. Whoever is holy, let him be holy still. .. Why? .. Because there are no more Chapters! There is not another Book, after. . It's Over! It's The End. .. No more time to change. No more space to turn. NO MORE GRACE! .. . It's more terrifying than the scariest horror movie you ever watched. . It won't matter if you're rich, with cars and clothes and all kinds of stuff. ... the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief executives, and the influential, and every slave, and every free man, HID THEMSELVES in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains! .. . Woe! They tried to HIDE! . .. And what were they hiding from? .. THE FACE of HIM Who Sits On The Throne! .. AND THE WRATH OF THE LAMB! .. . Woe! He told Moses, if anyone sees His Face they cannot live! . And just when you think you can run to the Son, who is a Lamb, think again! . Even the Lamb is ANGRY at thst point! . THE WRATH OF THE LAMB! . Whaat!? . I thought a lamb was meek and gentle, and sacrificial, to take away my sins! . But at this point in the history of mankind, it's too late! . Remember, it's The End. . You should have RUN TO THE SON, when there was still time. . You should have Come to The Lamb, when there was still GRACE. . .. Now, they can only call on the mountains and hills (human idols), to fall on them and hide them. .. But it's too late. He made those mountains and hills, and you should have looked beyond them, TO HIM, when there was grace. .. . Now, all that's left is ... . Be filthy, if you were filthy. Be unjust if you were unjust. . OR . Be righteous, if you were righteous. Be holy, if you were holy. . . . . The Revelation: Chapter 6 and Chapter 23 . Forecasting Future Events. .
