you're right laminating would make it too stiff... other than that it would be nice and shiny (and protected from water!!)

photo paper sadly doesn't fold well. it tends to break open or looses some of the ink where its folded :/ glossy photo paper is too sticky for my taste (like if you touch it your fingers stick to the surface) but matte would be an option to look into! maybe if I take thinner one it wouldn’t break as easily?

sth I've tried with the most recent book was painting two smaller pieces of paper (about 9 x 15cm) that were printed in black and white with little ink and lots of white spaces with glue that dries translucent. but when I tested it out on another paper (which was printed in full colour) before that I noticed that the glue seems to dissolve or wash out some of the ink and thus blurring the image a little. and the bigger the paper the more difficult it becomes to apply the glue evenly (and the more chance the glue has to wash out the ink). so unless I find a fucking huge brush or better yet a roll, that’s difficult to do.

so no completely ideal solution yet but with some more testing I guess I will find sth eventually.

I mean I could have the cover printed at a copy shop/print store and since they have laser printers there, the print would be more shiny, even on normal paper and the ink would be a bit more sealed in the paper but idk if I really want that *shrugs* who knows there they might even be able to put sth on it that seals it, I’m not sure they’d print sth like that as low as one copy tho...

EDIT: i just thought of sth else! an option would be to put some kind of... fuck what is it called in english.. it’s like normal tape (translucenparent & sticky on one side) except its very big and comes in rolls or sheets. librarians use it to wrap up softcover books or the booksleeves of hardcover books

I have playlists on youtube with fanvids sorted by fandom. (and with some also sorted by calm/sad ones and happier/ more in the direction of rock so I can get the right mood for whatever I’m gonna draw/write :D ) you can find all of them here

but sometimes I also just listen to some albums by Three Days Grace (usually either Outsider or Human)

and yeah the narration is from Morgana’s perspective “merlin” (he obviously needs a different name) is her brother and they live in Camelot but aren’t happy there because of Uther's tyranny

if you go by the roles from atla it's like this:

little “Mordred” (aka Emrys/Merlin) = Aang

Morgana and “Merlin” = Katara and Sokka

Camelot = fire nation

druids = air nomads

Cenred’s kingdom = water tribe

Uther = Ozai

Arthur = Zuko/Azula
