This morning I woke up to a very sad thing. The LCD on my laptop was broken. I am not sure how it broke but the fact is that is busted and I can’t use it like that. Luckily the laptop itself is fine so I just need to get the screen replaced. So for now I have my laptop hooked up to an old HC LCD monitor my parents used as TV for a couple years with an HDMI cord. It’s so much bigger than I am use to using. Its like a 30in monitor.
At the moment I dunno how this will affect my drawing. I guess we’ll see over the next couple of says. Also thanks to the angle of the lid has to be in, I have to get use to not looking at the keyboard when I type. I could make it that closing the lid doesnt out the laptop into sleep mode, but I still need to be able to use the touch pad if my drawing tablet doesnt wanna work as a mouse.
I was searching around the Internet looking for a replacement screen. I saw some really good tutorials and guides so I think I can do the repair myself. It’s just finding and affording the LCD replacement that seems to be hard.
It is an ASUS ROG G750JW-BBI7N05 based on the numbers on the laptop itself. Website for the laptop model itself states its a “17.3" 16:9 FHD LED Backlight/ HD+ EWV (1600 x 900) Non-Glare LCD Panel” I don’t even know where to start looking for the correct screen.
I probably can’t replace it until after Anime Expo. OTL
just my luck right?
I still do not know HOW it was broken. It’ll probably bug me for awhile.
