Broken Cookie
Narvi walked into a store, she did some baking for them when she needed to get some extra cash quickly. This week focused o cookies. About twelve dozen cookies. One of the few things she had totally mastered about this realm, cookies. “Alright, Mr. Jones!” She called out. “Its Narvi! I brought the cookies!” There was usually a older ma that worked here, when he finally came out of the back she smiled.
“Welcome back!” He smiled. “You know... go give a free sample to them.” He spoke softer as he gestured to the back. This was something the man often did, and it did always make the blond smile. Popping open the top tin she took three cookies i a paper towel ad walked to the family.
“Hello, The owner Mr. Jones buys cookies from me... and thought you would like some free samples.”

i know i make digs at our current host a lot on discord, but he really is a great guy. he (and the other hosts and co-hosts) are the most mentally stable hosts we’ve had since we were 13. the body is 21 now. i know he only became host a couple months ago, and it was more out of necessity than anything else, but he’s done great so far. it’s easier for us to make plans because we have a general idea of who’s going to be in front, and he’s working on our communication and trying to map out our innerworld. he cares so deeply about our system and he genuinely views us all as friends and family.
i’m not saying our other hosts didn’t care about the system; half of them didn’t even know about the rest of us. our host who found the system more or less viewed us as a nuisance sometimes. the host after that did care, but he struggled to not demonize our persecutors at times. our host after him was also good, but at some point he started to see fronting as a chore and it wasn’t really something he wanted to do very often anymore.
our current (main) host loves fronting. he loves talking to people, and making friends, and playing games. i know i give him a hard time sometimes, but it’s all jokingly and i’m very glad he’s the host now.
other headmates want to map out our innerworld for our system friends, but it’s hard to do since not many of us know what the streets look like from above. our innerworld takes the appearance of a city, and the street layout reflects that. but a lot of us only know the streets from a ground level.
if i can find an empty city map that resembles our innerworld, i’ll map it out. unfortunately we’re bad at drawing maps. i could at least make a list of what places of interest are on what streets, but that doesn’t mean anything to our friends because they can’t see our innerworld.

i was thinkin about a previous host we had earlier. he was so sweet, and almost always happy. i never saw that kid cry very often. he was great.
and then our ex broke up with him and completely broke his heart. this poor kid was devastated. he lost all the light in his eyes, and he stopped smiling as much. his smile could light up a room, and he was so nice.
it was genuinely heartbreaking to hear one of our protectors have to talk him out of hurting himself, and worse.
he was so kind. he saw the good in almost everyone. and it was so awful to watch him completely change into a shell of himself before he fused. he was so empty, he was 17 and he thought he had nothing left to live for.
i’m so sorry that he’s not here anymore to see how much better life can get. but we have a sun tattoo for him. he’s gone, but we’ll never forget him.
