Rough Stink Bugs (Genus Brochymena), nymphs, taken July 13 (1) and 14 (2), 2025, in Georgia, US
A sizable group of new-to-the-world stink bug nymphs in a classic huddle formation! The first photo shows them at probably second instar, as they were decently large but still about egg size. The second image is the day after in the same exact place, and all of them but one have molted! The size difference is significant—one molt just about doubled their size! The nymphs will soon begin traveling as a group to find food, growing larger together as they explore until they eventually become adults and split to find mates!
