Okay, so according to the band-guy below Héctor is famous.
“Oh, this guy’s famous! Go on, go on - ask him how he dieeed!”
Héctor: “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“He choked on some chorizo!”
(The rest of the band laughs loudly).
Héctor: “I didn’t choke! I got food poisioning, which is a big difference!”
(The rest of the band laughs even louder than before.)
However later in the film it turns out Héctor was killed, POISONED, by his best friend. That particular detail was also broadcasted on the Land of the Dead’s own version of TV.
Miguel: “Hector’s the real musician! You’re just the guy who murdered him and stole his songs!”
If Héctor wasn’t famous before, then he certaintly is now.
With that said: Who wants to bet there are some certain band-members who feel seriously bad right now?
