I heard that Vincent Cassel's french version of Beauty and the best will be hit in the us cinemas in Sept 23rd. I was hoping that in order to compare this interesting version (hello Vincent) vs a Disney tale
We’ll see.

From 2nd review (even worse) "mediocre". Some person compared Amenabar and Shyamalan in a very nad way, the movie is a failure, trash. About Emma: super bad bad actress, she didn't transmit any pain, sorrow, nothing .haha lol.
Ouch.
For the anon who wants to know some comments from 1st review: People realizes how will end even before the first half of the movie, lack of charisma, power, tacky, for tv only or dvd (About her acting)overacting, not believable at all.
^^^^
And all the blogcine comments section agreed that the movie was so bad and predictible and most of them said about Emma's bad acting.
Yep
Well, this is just my opinion, but I believe there are millions of talented directors (without that kind of backstory) that Emma could work with. I am no Woody Allen fan. Not only because of the things he has done, but also because he keeps writing the same kind of stories (old man falls in love with young girl, often in a subordinate role) again and again, and I’d like to see Emma in different, more challening roles. The fact that she keeps working with Allen and the way she talks about him in interviews (in an admiring, supportive way) dissappoint me and I understand the critisism. You cannot seperate someone’s personal life and work when it comes to things like Allen has done. But since Emma has signed on some nice projects (the Damien Chazelle film e.g.), I’m very hopeful for her to slowly seperate herself from Allen and to start working with other (less problematic) directors. :)
