Randomly stumbled upon a book that really reminds me of Johnny and V's situation. Of Evelyn telling V to put the relic in their brain like it was a safe thing to do. Of the game overall.
Quoting from an audiobook, so forgive me if I'm wrong about the formating:

upd: I finished the book. it was, apparently, published in 2022. The game was released in 2020 and the source material has been out for decades. Tbh, I think the author might've stolen the idea from the game, because some writing felt word for word like it is in the game. 🙄 I still like the writing, so I'll keep the quotes, but that is very disappointing, to be honest.
