Bread - Baby I'm-A Want You
I remembered a story about the singer of this band called Bread, whose father passed away before he could see his son be a success.
So, Luz, Iām sure your dad would be proud of who you are now and who you will be in the future.
Pour one out for Luzās dad, everybody.š¢š

BREADĀ ā Yours For Life (āŖ)
ā§David Gatesā§
David GatesĀ (born December 11, 1940) is an #singer #songwriter, #musician and producer, best known as the frontman and co-lead #singer (withĀ Jimmy Griffin) of the #soft #rock #groupĀ Bread, which reached the tops of the musical charts in Europe and North America on several occasions in the 1970s. The band was inducted into theĀ Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
Breadās second album,Ā On the WatersĀ (a play onĀ EcclesiastesĀ 11:1), with a new drummer,Ā Mike Botts, was released in 1970, and became a breakout success. It contained the No.Ā 1 single āMake It with Youā and was the first of seven consecutive Bread albums to goĀ GoldĀ in the US. Breadās next three albums,Ā Manna(1971),Ā Baby Iām-a Want YouĀ (1972) (featuringĀ Larry KnechtelĀ as a new member of the band, replacing Royer) andĀ Guitar ManĀ (1972) were also successful, with more chart singles andĀ gold records. From 1970 to 1973, Bread charted 11 singles on theĀ BillboardĀ Hot 100, all of which were written and sung by Gates. That caused some antagonism between Gates and Griffin, who was also a significant contributor to Breadās albums as a singer and songwriter. Bread disbanded in 1973, much to the surprise of fans and the music industry.Ā
