"Sorry if I uh... Sometimes the things I say don't come out the way I want them to?" He'd spent a few centuries isolated and it was hard to feel like a person being as old as he was sometimes. "And you're frowning so if I said that wrong and upset you I'm really sorry."

Bram actually snorted at that "Well not every day you find someone who gets it," he ran a hand through his hair and then "You have a diary? Huh... Wouldn't have guessed that from you."

"You didn't?" Bram frowned a bit. He understood he supposed on some level. "I don't... Hate the people I handle. May not like them but no, not hate...I pity them if anything." He frowned deeper "Do you think that's weird?"

Bram concentrated on the soul in his hand for a moment, feeling the rush from it. When it faded it was just him and the body of a murderer and abuser. Or... maybe it wasn't. He sensed another soul and turned around "This.... isn't what it looks like?" He wasn't even sure what all they had seen or what it looked like exactly to them.

"You know you're actually funny," Bram said after he finished chuckling.

"You know... you're really nice to talk to," Bram said after a beat of comfortable silence between them.

"Sorry I... didn't mean to offend you," Bram said with a small frown. He wasn't always great with people. "I just figured... you seem the sort not to mind most things? A sort of 'people will do what people will do'?" Had seen a small bit of that in the mans soul. Clearly he had miscalculated how far that went.
