I listened to the song fireflies by owl city 178 times today
Idefk-
"I'm killing our boy Lisa."
THIS SHOW DID NOT JUST-
docker network create --driver=bridge --subnet 192.168.178.0/24 \
--gateway 192.168.178.223 \
--ip-range 192.168.178.192/27 \
--aux-address ‘IPv4Gateway=192.168.178.1′ \
-o com.docker.network.bridge.name=br0 br0
ip route add default via 192.168.178.1
Took me all day to figure that out.
Docker documentation is a mess.
IIs it so fucking hard to actually list all your driver parameters in your documentation let alone the man page?
Short Summery: I had to add Docker containers to an already existing LAN segment (192.168.178.0/24 with default gateway 192.168.178.1).
Problem the docker host (192.168.178.223) has only 2 physical interfaces (eth0 & wlan0) whom need to run in bridge mode (br0) because the machine is also configured to act as a wlan bridge.
Docker doesn’t pick up already configured bridges on the system on startup so we need to trick it into reusing the already existing br0 bridge. The trick here is the -o com.docker.network.bridge.name=br0 part and than just naming the new bridge br0 as well.
Let’s not forget to re-add the default route.
ip route add default via 192.168.178.1

Maybe it's better I don't know... But I will always care.
i’m gonna fail my test, but in style
