Here is my bouncing head animation with three thumbnails and the bouncing ball animation. I think the animation needed to last longer so as to convey the emotion on his face properly as it’s hard to tell what happening. The secondary motion for this exercise is the hair although it would have been a nice touch to do something with the glasses on his face.
Bouncing Head Final.
For the final bouncing head animation, I fixed the line work and tried to give the rabbit more character by exaggerating the facial expressions a little more then previously and also by adding colour. The colour also makes the head easier to follow since it stands out more from the background.
This animation plays at a rate of 24 fps, and had 24 drawn frames in it. Though I think I should have added an extra frame when the rabbit is on the way back up since it seems a little to sudden.
The ears were used to give a sense of gravity and believability to the rabbit.
For the bouncing head, I opened the image sequence for my test bouncing head in Photoshop. With all of the layers on, this is the image created. I found this interesting because it shows the pacing and timing of the bounce in a different visual form.
Week 3 - Bouncing Head Final
I perfected the details on the head and made a more details timeline.
I could have maybe inserted some more frames so the final was not as fast, but I still think it looks pretty good. I also decided not to include the shading on the head.

Bouncing Ball and Bouncing Head Animation.
1/8/17
I attempted to make the bouncing ball animation and the bouncing head animation in todays tutorial. I used Sketchbook Pro’s Flipbook feature to create them. Each are 24 frames long at a speed of 24 fps.
I attempted, with the ball animation to make it seem like a fairly soft ball that stretched when it bounced. I also attempted to make the ball slow down at its peak to give anticipation for the action to come. This is a key feature in animation and gives life and believability to it.
For the second animation, we were asked to create a bouncing head. Using the bouncing ball animation, I created a rough drawing on top to look like a rabbit. I tried to make the rabbit seem slightly goofy so when his face was squished when hitting the ground it seemed to fit the character. I used the ears to try and exaggerate the movement of the animation.
I would like to try and improve the head animation and fix the shadow on the ground
