Life on Earth

A unique combination of an oxygen-rich atmosphere and plentiful water is the key to life on Earth. Apart from the polar ice caps, there are few areas which have not been colonized by animals or plants over the course of the Earth's history. Plants process sunlight to provide them with their energy, and ultimately all the Earth's animals rely on plants for survival. Because of this reliance, plants are known as primary producers, and the availability of nutrients and temperature of an area is defined as its primary productivity, which affects the quantity and type of animals which are able to live there. This index is affected by climatic factors - cold and aridity restrict the quantity of life, whereas warmth and regular rainfall allow a greater diversity of species.

Biogeographical regions

The Earth can be divided into a series of biogeographical regions, or biomes, ecological communities where certain species of plant and

animal co-exist within particular climatic conditions. Within these broad classifications, other factors including soil richness, altitude and human activities such as urbanization, intensive agriculture and deforestation, affect the local distribution of living species within each biome.

This is a place where you can submit things that are objectum culture- kind of like an objectum mood (like: objectum culture is having issues getting dressed in the morning because your long-sleeved shirt-buddy wants to be worn, but it's a record-breakingly warm summer and you will die of sweat).

When you send in an objectum culture related ask or submission, please start it with "objectum culture is" or any other objectum sub-identities, such as botani, conceptum, postiagum, vestiagum, mangerum, etc.

Any submissions trying to say objectum is fake or anything mean spirited like that will be deleted, and the blog / IP address will be blocked.

However, if you have a genuine question, feel free to ask it, and I will try to answer it.

Don't ever feel bad about asking for us to tag content warnings for things that trigger you! Triggers are weird and don't always make sense, and that's understandable! We won't ever question you, or ask for an explanation, we will just tag the warning for you!

One last thing; I know I kept going between "we" and "I" in this post, and that is because, while this blog is run by only one person, that person is a system. Sometimes, posts might be slow, and for that, I apologize.
