Double Cliff Notes for chapters 21 and 22
Shonen rules state that your power level is proportionate the strength of your friendship with the protagonist. Sarada has discovered a way to game that system: by upgrading your friendship to love.
In this case, love = control over gravity. And Sarada loves Boruto so much that she can implode her enemies into sand.
Boruto realizes Koji is willing to sacrifice all the fodder characters like Yodo to keep him safe. He knows Konohamaru is fodder, so he teleports in to save his sensei.
Konohamaru marvels at how Boruto was able to kill Matsuri in a single blow. Boruto points out that she was balancing on her own spinal cord (spinal trunk?) and was not at full power.
Meanwhile, Jura teleports in and evolves from Toupee Mode to Mohawk Mode. Boruto stays and fights him so Konohamaru's team has time to retreat.
As they fight, Jura gets ahold of Boruto's weapon. Boruto shows more anger at the thought of Sasuke's sword getting bent than anything else that he's witnessed today.
Boruto does an Uzuhiko Rasengan on Jura, but he's a final boss so it doesn't work on him.
Jura tells Boruto that love is a weakness that makes people act illogical. Boruto argues that love makes people human, and Jura will always be a tree.
