@someidioticurl I love all this. The beauty of the info we have now is it could go SO many different directions. I totally feel Troy's powers are part of what should be all Tyreen, so she's got a major chip on her shoulder about him being a Siren at all, and I'm very excited to see what we learn about how Sirens are selected, what triggers someone to show their tattoos, I genuinely can't wait.

It could be that in a week we’ll get another video and it will smash this theory into the smallest bits and arrange them into something even better xD

With how she calls him a parasite and it doesn’t seem like the first time I think there’s some reason he’s even there, be it because she needs him around to have any control over her own powers or anything else. We probably can agree ‘out of the goodness of her heart’ is not the reason.

My current theory about how one becomes a siren is that everyone has some potential to become one. What are the qualities one needs to become one? Dunno. Being born male is probably one big no-no, so while dudes still have some potential it’s laughably small compared to any woman. Thus, there has never before been a male siren. 

Jack might be a manipulative liar but I’m willing to believe him when he said there are only six sirens in existence simply because he was talking to bandits in this recording, not Vault Hunters. If the number is different, it wouldn’t be much different.

So how does one become a siren? As per my current theory, once one siren dies, the person with the most ‘potential’ manifests their power. They might be still in the womb, they might be 50, it doesn’t matter: they have the most ‘potential’.

Tannis simply figured out what criteria one has to meet to increase their ‘potential’. Maybe she even found a way to increase the potential so much it surpasses any of the current sirens and one starts manifesting siren powers despite not being an official one
