Yeah my late twenties sliding into 30 have been some of the best years of my life! The weird thing too, is that most of my friends locally are 30+ and that is actually what helped me not have weirdness about turning 30, so they’re not weird, but like, some friends I’ve known longer, or like, older people or coworkers are the ones making the jokes I don’t like and I’m like stoppp I’m HAPPY being 30, thanks.

@aflamethatneverdies replied to your text post: He's not at all personally ambitious and that's what I've always thought of as the main quality of Slytherins. He doesn't even want leadership. He's just very focused on the overall outcome. Also he's very brave, has a strong concept of justice and would do anything for his friends, even making, what might have turned out to be, a bad judgement call on the barricades, to save Prouvaire. He's very Gryffindor in my books. :D

All good points! :D I definitely have always felt he was a Gryffindor too! But fandom has kind of reduced that house to like, loud, boisterous but nice bros who rush into fights? I get the attention tends to move from Gryffindor in fandom because we see a lot of them in canon, but I still take issue with the way fandom talks about Gryffindors.

Yes, I agree! And I think that’s the thing, is the means. He’s very aware of how the revolutionaries are perceived, knows they are held to a higher standard than the people they’re fighting against. And I guess people could offer Le Cabuc as an argument for him being a Slytherin, which I’d get, but also there’s a Gryffindor argument there because he found the courage to take that terrible burden on himself? Plus then there’s the artillery sergeant?
