I am in no way prepared for the British North, am I
Don’t worry, living the north of England is pretty nice! (And Scotland, though I don't spend much time there anymore) It’s usually about 3-6C less than London/the rest of the south in temperature (at any given time of year), fewer people vote Tory, you’re basically right in the geographical middle of the country so trains to anywhere are never THAT long (at least in as much as trains anywhere in the UK are actually functional). Also, everything is just a little bit cheaper, except for rent, which is like. half what it is in the south........so yeah, the north is pretty chill (most of the time, at least!)
