Update Kingston SSD Drive Firmware
Yesterday night my 60GB Kingston V300 series SSD problem where the PC not able to boot Windows 7, after BIOS post screen, monitor is dark screen with cursor blinking. I’ve tried to fix the boot record but not successful. This is the 1st time the drive problem after few years of using. Finally I boot my PC with xubuntu live cd and copy the data out from the SSD drive before proceed to reformat the SSD drive and reinstall Windows 7.
To check the SSD drive, we can install Kingston SSD Manager.
Once run the Kingston SSD Manager, we will have below screen to show us the drive information.
Once detected with newer firmware, we can just click the “Update Firmware” button. *Pls backup important data first
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Just few seconds and the firmware update process is done.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();

Thank you for reblogging my post~! I let my computer finish trying to repair disk errors, but it was unsuccessful. I did a variety of things: I tried troubleshooting, I tried doing a system restore (Not a restart, as I want to keep all of my files), I tried shutting down for a day and starting up again, I tried doing start-up repair, all of that and none of it has worked. I think it may be something wrong with the hardware rather than Windows...
It seems like you may have caused some damage to your hard drive while you were dusting. Before doing anything else, I would open up the case again and unplug and replug all the cables leading to your hard drive.
Was your data backed up? Depending on what happened, it may be necessary to get a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Good luck!
