Today is the day for my second covid vaccine 😬😬😬!! If I’m not around much that’s probably why but I’ll try and keep you all updated about how it goes! When I was growing up I was constantly changing what I wanted to be. I went from a doctor to a vet and then a Egyptologist to an archaeologist to an explorer/treasure hunter and about a million different other things. While I know I found my perfect career as a NICU nurse I have never lost that sense of adventure and love for different cultures. I cannot wait to get back to traveling and exploring new places!! So today’s covid vaccine is not only to keep my family and friends safe but also to have a chance to explore again!! Happy #MapMonday friends!! I’m sure you have all heard this a million times but I LOOOVVVVEEEEEE maps!! I almost always flip back to the map or have it pulled up on my phone or somewhere to reference it. It’s so much fun to be able to trace a character’s journey and see where they’ve been and where they are headed and what trouble they can get into along the way!! When I was younger I was always the navigator of the family. I would have the printed mapquest directions (yup no GPS back in my day) and help my mom find where we were going. Or I’d be in charge of all the travel documents from passports to tickets to anything we needed. I was super responsible and loved organizing all the things needed for a trip!! I guess that’s where my love of traveling and maps comes from!! Each book tells a different characters story along the same timeline and I just love them!! It has dragons and rebellion and love and myths and soooo much more!! The last book has a f/f enemies to lovers relationship that I am DYING to read!! I feel like this series needs to be featured way more because of the actual story and these GORGEOUS covers!!! I had an amazing weekend full of reading and sunshine and taking book photos!! When I think of characters fighting for a change one of the first series to come to mind was the Red Queen series. I still haven’t finished the last book in this series (it’s a GIANT one) but hopefully one day I will!! I absolutely loved the first few books. The characters were engaging and I loved the relationship between Mare and Cal and Maven! Plus the twist and turns of the storyline kept me on my toes and of course the whole rebellion and fighting for equality part which was well done. What books have your favorite rebellions in it? . .
