i do love being the go-to person for sales in my firm. putting aside the fact that i hate banks and layered deadlines, you gotta be in a good place, at least financially, to be purchasing a house. i've only had a handful of bad purchase clients and it's mostly due to them having more money than sense (shoutout to the influencer couple who went through 3 lawyers before landing with us!)
for sale clients, however, there's a 50-50 chance that they'll either be:
the usual gamut of normal (sometimes annoying, sometimes delightful, sometimes stressed, etc.); or
embroiled in the most insane drama you have ever heard of, usually with plenty of litigation or family lawyers involved
there's a particular story that's my go-to for parties because i was dropped head first into it on my third day of working at this firm and the ending always leaves people gasping in horror
