On the subject of newspapers and swedish journalism history
My grandfather actually worked in the printing press of Bonnier, as a factory worker that is. And at bonniers printing press, the Bonnier publishing house newspaper dagens nyheter was printed, which one of swedens major newspapers.
My grandpa was heavily involved in the labor union of the printing press (which were among the fist Labour unions in sweden btw). And as the ideal of social democratic Labour union, which his was, back then one was soppused to be pals with the owners of the company.
AND ANYWAY
What I want to get to is that my grandpa had some kind off crush of homosocial male bonding with the then head of the Bonnier family (who now that was then. Perhaps Albert?)
He apperntly walked around and talked about what a good man he was and stuff. Now he did get a very good wage for being working class, and this was in general true for Bonniers printing press workers i believe but
My social democratic grandma walked on small happy clouds anytime he thought of the company ceo. Thats so very. 1950s swedish social democratic
