Snowflake my coyote skull got knocked down by Khoshekh and while trying to glue them back together I found that they had snaggle teeth
I finished cleaning my roadkill skunk and was absolutely shocked to see the state of his teeth and jaws! All of his canines were broken and he had infection in many of his teeth, all throughout his jaws, and even at the front of his brain cavity. He must have been in incredible pain, poor little man.
@snakesandkittens I know right!? I really want to go and collect the rest of her skeleton (its on private property, under a buncha shrubbery), because I bet her spine is just as bad as her pelvis.
It surprisingly didnt spread far to her femur or the tail vertebrae, but there is pitting and some of the bone has been eaten away. I’m sure if she had lived longer it would have become a much bigger problem.

I went to my local oddity store and could not resist the janky pathological fox skull
was about to just throw this at y'all but remembered I kept the dee.r leg with similar fucked-up-edness under a readmore so. since it's more than just a typical skull I'll add a warning:
below cut: a co.w skull with a REALLY fucked up face - lots of bone loss/degredation around the eye but spread to cover nearly the whole side of the face. webbing from the nasal passage is visible, and there is bone growth around the outside. NO BLOOD/MUSCLE IS VISIBLE, ONLY LONG-SINCE CLEANED BONE.
