This wasn't over their art, it was over their character. I am super mad about their character ending up on a hate blog too, but?

You guys are literally unintentionally rubbing their level of art in their face, when this was about Cloverkit's design. Instead of praising her art, perhaps begin to praise the design, because the "hey, we all started somewhere!" and "you will improve!" may be nice in all but,, you're telling them that their art is bad by saying that. It's not as helpful as you may think. Yes, criticism is part of what makes an artist improve, but,, they're probably extremely overwhelmed.

Please, continue to think before you write. Accidentally shoving the fact that an artist's art isn't magnificent is not praise. And frankly, it's far from constructive criticism.
