The True Spirit of Christmas
Christmas is often seen as a season of gifts, decorations, and celebrations. For me, however, Christmas is more than just a holiday celebrated because it falls on my birthday. It is a meaningful time filled with love, effort, and togetherness that I truly cherish.
This December 25, 2025, my family and I flew to Bohol to celebrate both Christmas and my 18th birthday. We stayed there for three days and created memories that I will treasure forever. Being surrounded by my family, loved ones, and especially my boyfriend made the celebration even more special. They are truly the diwa ng pasko—the true spirit of Christmas—in my life.
Christmas is not only about giving and receiving gifts. It is about celebrating another year with the people who matter most. Every Christmas also marks another year added to my age, making the season even more meaningful for me. It reminds me of growth, gratitude, and the blessings I continue to receive.
One of the highlights of our trip was celebrating my birthday at the Loboc River Cruise. It was a beautiful experience filled with joy, laughter, and love. I felt incredibly grateful for my family’s effort and the love they showed to make me feel special during both my birthday and Christmas.
This experience made me realize that the true essence of Christmas lies in love, presence, and shared moments rather than material things. I am thankful to have a family that values togetherness and makes every celebration meaningful.
I hope that every Christmas in your home is filled with love, warmth, and happiness, just like the one I experienced—because that is the true spirit of Christmas.
